It is because charity helps you to cleanse your soul from the greed. As an addition to that, the charity also helps the other people who are in need out there. Because as many of you might have known, there are still a lot of people who are in need out there.
For your information, in Islam, there is a believe that in all of the wealth that you have, there is a little part of those wealth that belongs to other people. That is why the charity or Zakat is placed on the fourth position of the five pillars of Islam. That is because Islam wants you to share the things that you have for those who are in need.
For some people, doing few cents of charity is something very hard to do. Even though they already have millions of dollars, it is still something hard to do. That is because they do not get the direct advantage of the charity. Fortunately, there are still a lot of people who do not really care about that at all. Those people thought the charity is like a tax that they have to pay directly to God. That is why they do not have any problem at all. If they are not able to feel the changes from the charity that they do on this world, at least they believed that they would get what they deserve on the afterlife. That is the real meaning of charity on the fourth position of five pillars of Islam.
