Important Issues about Bible Verses
The bible is a Greek word which means a collection of books and is compiled of numerous short books which were written in diverse times and there are many authors and these collection of books were then lumped together to make one book or a biblical canon.
Most of the editions and copies of the bible gives a presentation of short books and with diverse divisions made into chapters that makes a page and since the 16th century the editors have divided the chapter into small verses which consists of few sentences or lines which are short.
In most cases the sentences in the bible spans more than each verse and in some cases there is more sentences in any one verse and the verses and chapters do not appear in texts that are original but they forms parts or the bible that are pretext.
The Hebrew texts are different in diverse points that the Christians do not use for example the tradition of Jewish and the ascriptions of numerous Psalms which is thought to be independent parts or verses according to verses which are subsequent.
The original bible texts did not comprise of verses and chapters with numbers and the modern bibles are different for modern readers and the old texts of Hebrew were in paragraphs which were divided and were given identification by using two letters of Hebrew dialect.
Bible verses has division of numerous large sections and the Torah in Israel is divided into 154 units and are read in a week at worship places and this may last for three years and the new testament is divided in sections that are topical but the old one do not appear the same as the modern one.
The verse endings and the end of the verses is shown by small marks termed as a silluk which means stop and the verse endings which are less formal normally end with two horizontal dots which follow the word and a silluq.
Christ Like Media says that the Masorectic text comprises of endings of the sections which are known as parashot and are normally shown by a space in a line or the new line begins and the text division is shown by a parashot is normally thematic and they are not numbered as the chapters are.
The other biblical books have divisions of Masoretic text termed as the sedarim and this is not thematic but is entirely based on the text’s quality and in the Torah the units reflect the triennial cycle depending on the text’s quality.
The manuscripts have numbers and standards of titles and each numbers of the page is listed at the start of the biblical book.
Bible verses have many criticism form modern scholars and traditionalists and they state that the texts is frequently given a division in most incoherent ways and the points are rhetorical and inappropriate and it gives encourages passages which are incoherent.
